My own interpretation of a Medieval Padlock
Meine eigene Deutung eines mittelalterlichen Vorhängeschlosses

Dieses ist meine Wiedergabe eines alten Vikingalter Vorhängeschlosses. Es hat einige Details im Common mit den Vikingalter Kunstprodukten, die an den excarvations in York (GB) gefunden werden. So ist es nicht eine zutreffende Replik, ein genauerer Blick aufdeckt, daß ich auch irgendein eigenes Design addierte. Weiter glänzt der Gebrauch heutzutage des Industrie-Eisens immer durch und er gibt durchaus einen anderen Blick, der mit dem "historischen sicheren iron".

This is my rendition of an viking-age padlock. It has got some details in common with the viking-age artefacts found at the Coppergate-excarvations in York (GB). So, it's not a true replica, a closer look reveals that I also added some own design. Further, the use of nowadays industry-iron will always shine through and it gives quite another look compared to the "historical iron".

For sure, it won't be taken for a genuine one by a professional archaeologist ...
